With the victory the Knights improved to 8-1 in the Mission Valley League and moved two full games ahead of the Lions.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Arroyo fell behind 2-0 after El Monte came up with two in the third but then turned it around with six in the fourth. In the fourth Jason Rios walked and two batters later Aaron Martinez singed to load the bases. Ivan Ortega then ripped a line drive that found the gap in right-center field. By the time the dust had cleared four runs had crossed the plate including Ortega who put an exclamation point on the inside the park home run with a headfirst slide.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_66467\" style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/?attachment_id=66467\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-66467\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-66467\" class=\"size-full wp-image-66467\" src=\"http:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/IMG_6349-e1554946877130.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"1052\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-66467\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Alexander Peterson threw a complete game to notch the victory.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The Knights added two more when Felix Perez singled and scored on a double by Oscar Hernandez. Hernandez then cruised home on a base knock by Jarin Pinuelas.<\/p>\n<p>El Monte came up with two more runs but still fell a couple bucks short against Arroyo hurler Alexander Peterson. Peterson went the distance throwing 109 pitches to pick up the victory.<\/p>\n<p>El Monte drew first blood in the third inning. Nomar Perez reached on an error and scored on a triple by Joseph Herrera.
