Yes, the Suns’ Goran Dragic made a spectacular spin move last night against the Lakers… but I didn\u2019t stop breathing after I saw it. I\u2019ve seen others like it…it just didn\u2019t blow me away.<\/p>\n

Besides I see spin moves every Tuesday night when Villathedevil 360\u2019s out of one previous statement after another.<\/p>\n

Note to Zavala Family: We had a bang, bang show last night so it was my fault Wilson HC (and father of two) Brian Zavala didn\u2019t extend appropriate props to his family last night.<\/p>\n

So to Jaylyn and Jenna Zavala I extend a Mid Valley Sports apology from rushing your dad off camera last night…Come in next time with him…and we\u2019ll do a segment with you…\u201dBeing the Daughter of a Coach\u201d<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t know why I had it in my head that Hoover quarterback A.J. Pule was a senior, dude\u2019s got another year left and I\u2019m pushing him out the door. My apologies, with that said its probably time for the joking around about Tornado football to slow down. Pule has talent.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m gonna watch the Stanley Cup…I like the Blackhawks versus Flyers face off… Reminds me of better NHL days when I knew the entire Los Angeles Kings roster from Glen Goldup to Syl Apps and felt chills when Forum crowds would chant for Rogie Vachon.<\/p>\n

USC\u2019s Ed Orgeron was out at Whittier Christian yesterday… I\u2019m trying to think of worthy reason for him being there?<\/p>\n

\u201cHow come you don\u2019t have me on the show?\u201d Said Herald linebacker Rudy Robles. \u201cYou\u2019ve got Stephen (Anderson) and Jeff (Worthy) what about me?\u201d<\/p>\n

Besides being a terrific linebacker, Robles is a loyal Mid Valley guy and bragged of it by mentioning his fifth round selection by the Green Bay Packers in the Mid Valley Draft back in February.<\/p>\n

For that sort of fandom, we need to give him a shot.<\/p>\n

This was a great joke, but before I could get it posted I now I run the risk of looking weak but; \u201cThe reason the NFL put the Super Bowl in New York was because Anchorage wasn\u2019t available.\u201d<\/p>\n

(Well all of the jokes can\u2019t be good, you have to expect that once in a while.)<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t care where the Super Bowl is at…as long as its not in New Orleans. Besides everyone is always pushing for us to be more international, well the cannucks pay the Grey Cup in bad weather.<\/p>\n

Speaking of college football…Michigan\u2019s Rich Rodriguez is in trouble isn\u2019t he? I\u2019m a Michigan fan, but Michigan should have known what it was getting in Rodriguez.<\/p>\n

Rodriguez is the guy whose offensive style is so important he couldn\u2019t find room for an adjustment to keep Ryan Mallet on campus.<\/p>\n

Mallet is currently playing for the Arkansas Razorbacks and threw 30 touchdowns against only seven picks in 2009. The Wolverine quarterback Tate Forcier threw 13 touchdown passes and ten picks for a team that finished 5-7.<\/p>\n

Truly no player is bigger than the game…but neither is a system.<\/p>\n

Last Add Brian Zavala: After his spot on the show Zavala explained to us what a \u201cspirit pack\u201d consisted of—essentially work out gear. I hate that title though \u201cspirit pack\u201d…When I heard that I half expected it to include a pennant, a key chain, and maybe a pad to sit on at the stadium.<\/p>\n

We were discussing what would be in a Mid Valley Sports \u201cspirit pack\u201d: One fun size Snickers…A bottle of Refreshe water… A staff photo… Stationary; business card from a staffer, and some couch pizza from Big Tony\u2019s place…<\/p>\n

Last Add Whittier Christian: I\u2019ve believed that those who abide by the axiom of \u2018Love at First Sight\u2019 are fools… Except maybe with your children, falling in love at first sight is a major roll of the dice… I took my first trip out to see the Heralds practice yesterday and I was impressed…Not going to give my heart away, but these guys look really good.<\/p>\n

The next bad pass Stephen Anderson throws will be his first, because I sure didn\u2019t see one on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Really Last Add Whittier Christian: Did you know with a 32-man roster the Heralds played 22 starters last year? (Worthy played a little on the offensive line in the post-season)… Meaning they had no two-way starters in 2009…<\/p>\n
