Former Angels\/ Red Sox manager John McNamara passed away at the age of 88. <\/p>\n<p>6. Former USC baseball coach Mike Gillespie passed away at the age of 80. Gillespie coached USC from 1987 to 2006 leading the Trojans to five PAC-10 titles, 14 NCAA Regional appearances, four college World Series berths and a 1998 College WS championship. <\/p>\n<p>7. Lakers star Anthony Davis is expected to play against the Clippers in the NBA restart Thursday night despite missing a scrimmage and a practice after being poked in the eye. <\/p>\n<p>8. Lou Henson, who left college basketball as the winningest coach at both New Mexico State and Illinois, passed away at the age of 88. <\/p>\n<p>9.
