2. Aidan Birr kicked a 44-yard field goal as time expired as Georgia Tech stunned number 10 Florida State 24-21 Saturday to kick off the college football season.\u00a0<\/p>\n

3. Jake Leones threw for 256 yards and 3 touchdowns and Judah Douglas had 8 catches for 145 yards and 2 TDs and also threw a touchdown pass to lead Temple City to a 41-22 win over Whittier Thursday night.\u00a0<\/p>\n

8. Baltimore Ravens offensive line coach Joe D’Alessandris passed away Sunday at the age of 70. D’Alessandris, who has been coaching for 45 years, was the Ravens OL coach since 2017.\u00a0<\/p>\n

9. Shohei Ohtani hit a walk off grand slam to lift the Dodgers to a 7-3 win over the Tampa Bay Rays Friday night. With the home run Ohtani became the fastest player to hit 40 homers and steal 40 bases in a season. Ohtani, who had stolen his 40th base earlier in the game, also became the first Dodger to join the 40-40 club.<\/p>\n

10. Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert was among 12 Charger players that were stuck in an elevator for two hours at the team hotel in Dallas Friday night.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n
