[Norwalk] – Norwalk continued where they left off last week and ran through Santa Fe with a 48-13 victory Friday night at Norwalk high school. <\/p>\n\n\n

The Lancers took the ball first and marched down field but capped it off with a touchdown pass from Nick Barrera to Derek Sandoval, the extra point was missed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Chiefs made their way down field but for the second week in a row Tyler Burton snatched an interception this time off Andrew Lopez to give the Lancers the ball back. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Barrera again took to the air this time finding Ezra Meuller for a 12-yard score, making it 12-0 after a failed extra point. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Santa Fe got on the board when they kept the ball on the ground and Devin Clark found paydirt for cut into the lead 12-7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Norwalk went to the bread and butter pounding the rock and Diego Cerritos got in the end zone after running over defenders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Chiefs answered right back when Clark broke one for a 39-yard touchdown making it 18-13 after a failed two- point conversion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lancers scored just before halftime when Axel Bustemante took over for a banged up Barrera and found Meuller for a 26-yard touchdown making it 26-13 at the half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the kickoff to start the second half Norwalk kicked off and a Chiefs player watched the ball bounce and Edward Deleon blasted the player and Juan Campos recovered the ball for the Lancers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sandoval found the end zone again a few plays later to make the lead 34-13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Lancers dominated the second half forcing multiple punts and turn overs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meuller found the end zone two more times on the ground with scores of 12 and 43-yards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Campos recovered his second fumble of the game and Papo Lieataua and Joel Espinoza made multiple tackles in the backfield. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Norwalk improved to 2-0 will wait to see if they could book a game in the next two weeks after Glenn pulled out of their rivalry game, while Santa Fe (1-1) looks to heal up as they face Buena Park next week. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
