This was his second stint as head coach.&nbsp;<\/strong><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Maggiore coached for 32 years overall and 26 as the head coach at West Covina. In his first stint Maggiore won three CIF titles and compiled a record of 139-14-2 before stepping down after the 2016 season. His three CIF Championships came in 2004, a team which featured future NFL defensive back Walter Thurmond, 2011 over Bonita and a repeat title n 2012 when the Bulldogs racked up 84 points in a rout of La Serna.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Maggiore who played locally at Edgewood before going on to Oregon State, then took three years off before returning to West Covina in 2020. Maggiore guided his troops to an overall mark of 26-25 in his five years. The Bulldogs best year in his second go round was 2023 when the Bulldogs went 11-3 overall and advanced to the CIF Division 10 Championship game where they fell to Torrance. They qualified for the playoffs in 2021 and &#8217;22 as well losing to San Dimas both years in the first round.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In Maggiore&#8217;s 26 years at the helm his overall record was record 165-129-2.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;My intent is to stay involved in the football program in any way possible.
