The Patriots were riding a seven-game winning streak, and looking for their best start since the GOAT, Tom Brady, was in New England.

Week 11 began in Foxborough:

Thursday Night:

NY Jets (2-7) @ New England (8-2): New England 27-14

Treveyon Henderson rushed for two touchdowns and added another receiving, to lead the Patriots to their eighth consecutive win.

Teammate Drake Maye, the NFL’s passing yardage leader, threw for 281 yards and a touchdown, with Stefon Diggs (105) accruing his third 100-yard receiving game of the season.

The Jets are a mess and quarterback Justin Fields continues to add credence to the opinion that he isn’t an NFL level starting quarterback.

Having 116 yards through the air isn’t a one-off for Fields, as he has had four games under 100 yards, and ranks 38th in yards per game (139.9). Losing receiver Garrett Wilson to IR leaves New York’s wide receiver room with only Rams castoff Josh Reynolds with over 10 receptions, and no one exceeding 200 yards receiving.

Sunday’s Games:

Seattle (7-2) @ LA Rams (7-2): LA Rams 21-19

The “bend but don’t break” mantra served the Rams defense well Sunday, forcing Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold into throwing four interceptions, two to Kamren Kinchens.

While Seattle dominated time of possession, they proved that they are the worst “3rd-and-long” team in the NFL, settling for four Jason Myers field goals (57, 30, 22, 29), and a Kenneth Walker 1-yd touchdown run. Myers missed a 61-yard attempt as time expired in the game.

The Rams’ Matthew Stafford had a pedestrian day, compared to the last few games, but added two touchdown passes, to increase his totals to an NFL leading 27 touchdowns.

Kyren Williams had two early runs for over 30 yards and finished with 91 yards and a touchdown.

Tampa Bay (6-3) @ Buffalo (6-3): Buffalo 44-32

In an action-packed game that saw the lead change hands nine times, reigning MVP Josh Allen had over 300 yards and three touchdowns through the air, and 40 yards and three more scores on the ground.

Over 400 yards of offense and a season-high 44 points, allowed the Bills to forget last week’s 30-13 loss to a 2-7 Miami Dolphins squad.

The Bucs’ Sean Tucker did his best to position his team to win by rushing for 106 yards-2 touchdowns and catching two receptions for 34 yards and a score while quarterback Baker Mayfield (173 yards-TD) repeatedly extended plays and drives for Tampa Bay, taking back the lead only for the Bills to pull away late.

Other Sunday Results:

Miami 16 – Washington 13

Pittsburgh 34 – Cincinnati 12

Jacksonville 35 – LA Chargers 6

Chicago 19 – Minnesota 17

Houston 16 – Tennessee 13

Carolina 30 – Atlanta 27

Green Bay 27 – NY Giants 20

San Francisco 41 – Arizona 22

Baltimore 23 – Cleveland 16

Denver 22 – Kansas City 19

Philadelphia 16 – Detroit 9

Monday Night:

Dallas (3-5-1) @ Las Vegas (2-7):

George Pickens (9 receptions-144 yards-TD) did every move but the moonwalk, and teammate CeeDee Lamb added 66 yards and a score to overcome the first series benching by Coach Schottenheimer, for “missing some things”.

Dak Prescott passed for 268 yards and four scores to lead the Cowboys in their first game since the death of teammate Marshawn Kneeland, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The Raiders line can’t protect Geno Smith and Coach Carroll all but forgot his rookie sensation Ashton Jeanty, giving him just six random carries all night.
