Alec Mirola will be the key at running back against a very stingy defense. Santa Fe\u2019s defense has held its opponents to 61 points in six games. The most any team has scored is 21 points.<\/p>\n<p>Twenty-nine years is the last time the Lancers won the Del Rio League Championship. Andrew Buenrostro has had a solid year at quarterback for La Serna. O.J. Medina and Tommy Ruiz carried most of the load last week against El Rancho. Alex Yoon returned after being knocked out early against Burbank. Chan Kim carried the load with 74 yards against Pasadena.<\/p>\n<p>Zander Anding changes a game with his deceiving speed. Lucas Yanez has grown into a real good leader at quarterback.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Burroughs 42-0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>Friday, October 22nd<\/p>\n<p><strong>DEL RIO<br \/>\nEl Rancho (4-2, 0-1) at Pioneer (4-2, 1-0)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Last Meeting: 2009 El Rancho 43-7<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Since 2001 El Rancho leads 6-3<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ronnel Lone gave the Dons a shot in the arm early against La Serna. The offense needs to limit penalties along the offensive line if they want to continue its playoff push. Daniel Moriel is a game-changing defender who has a nose for the ball.<\/p>\n<p>It is the Tony Botello show for the Titans who are off to a good start in 2010. A signature win would be huge for a program that wasn\u2019t expected to compete in the Del Rio League.<\/p>\n<p><strong>El Rancho 21-10<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>Whittier (0-6, 0-1) at California (0-6, 0-1) \u2013 California 28-0<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p><strong>HACIENDA<br \/>\nDiamond Bar (4-3, 0-3) at Rowland (4-3, 1-2)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Last Meeting: 2001 Diamond Bar 34-6<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Both teams are trying to keep its playoff hopes alive with a win.<\/p>\n<p>After virtually airing it out against non-league opponents the Brahmas have been grounded back to reality in the Hacienda. Diamond Bar has settled on Andrew Cameron at quarterback who can fling it to Josh Villoria and George Katrib.<\/p>\n<p>After being beaten up in two-straight games against West Covina and Diamond Ranch the Raiders look to use its team speed to beat the Brahmas. Danny McMahan continues to impress at wide receiver. Michael Ball should have lots of time to throw against Diamond Bar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rowland 28-14<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p><strong> Walnut (3-3, 1-2) at Bonita (6-0, 2-0)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Last Meeting: 2009 Walnut 30-11<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Since 2001 Walnut leads 5-3<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mustangs saved their season with a win against Diamond Bar last week. Jason Tsukada was the star with a punt return for a touchdown. Aubrey Coleman stepped up big in the win. Walnut is in another must-win against the undefeated Bearcats.<\/p>\n<p>Bonita called off the dogs in the third quarter against winless Los Altos last week. Garrett Pendleton is back strong at the quarterback position. Zach Brungard and Matt Gelalich have helped Pendleton\u2019s return.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bonita 42-14<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>Los Altos (0-6, 0-2) at West Covina (5-1, 2-0) \u2013 West Covina 49-0<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p><strong>PACIFIC<br \/>\nArcadia (3-3, 2-1) vs. Burbank (5-1, 3-0) at Burroughs HS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Last Meeting: Burbank 33-27<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Since 2006 Burbank leads 3-1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Apaches nearly pulled off a huge road win against Burroughs last week in overtime. Taylor Legace and Myles Carr will need to have a near perfect game to beat the Bulldogs. Sheldon McKinney and Rodney Arnett will have to run the ball and keep Burbanks\u2019 offense off the field.<\/p>\n<p>Defensively speaking the Bulldogs come out and hit anything that is near the ball. Adam Colman has so many weapons that Ulises Ochoa can take a night off. Quortney Brazier filled in nicely for Ochoa on Thursday night and wide receiver Ryan Thanaratnam can flat out grab anything thrown to him.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Burbank 21-14<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>Hoover (1-5, 0-3) at Muir (2-4, 1-2) \u2013 Muir 35-7<br \/>\nPasadena (2-4, 1-2) vs. Crescenta Valley (4-2, 2-1) at Glendale HS \u2013 Crescenta Valley 28-7<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p><strong>SUBURBAN<br \/>\nMayfair (4-3, 3-0) at Bellflower (5-2, 2-1)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Last Meeting: 2009 Mayfair 27-17<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Since 2001 Mayfair leads 9-0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t think that the Monsoons will be looking ahead to La Mirada on the 29th of October and will be focused on the Buccaneers. Dominque Small continues to impress with his 730 yards rushing. Evan Hunko can manage the clock as well as any quarterback in the Southeast Division.<\/p>\n<p>For Bellflower to be successful they must hand the ball off to Michael Jasper and control the time of possession.
