Same night, Robbie Chapman rushed for 92-yards and three touchdowns in South Pasadena’s 23-0 win over Duarte. The victory was the Tigers 17th in a row…Monrovia beat Arroyo 29-6, thanks to James DeCuir’s 126 rushings yards and three touchdowns.<\/p>\n

On this night in 1971 Maranatha running back Don Mayberry scored six touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough as the Minutemen fell to San Fernando Christian 51-43…Don’t ask me where it was played, it was a game of six-man football…SAY WHAT!… I said it was six man football…<\/p>\n

For what it’s worth\u00a0on the same night, in West Covina, the Spartans defeated La Puente 34-14 thanks to the passing of quarterback Steve Myer (13-21-136yds 2Tds)… WestCo did not become the Bulldogs until its merger with the late Edgewood High School in the 1980’s.<\/p>\n
