I would buy the outrage towards the Fiesta Bowl and the misuse of its funds, if the NCAA would open its books and show us all it does.<\/p>\n

In fact opening the books seems to be a big deal these days so maybe the NCAA should show us how it plans to distribute all its dough following next Monday\u2019s championship game.<\/p>\n

The Miami Heat took another step towards that June championship last night.<\/p>\n

Its 1983: Butler-VCU, is actually North Carolina State-Georgia\u2026UConn-Kentucky, is actually Louisville-Houston.<\/p>\n

Everyone then thought the NCAA title game was the epic dunk-fest between the Cardinals and the Cougars. But it was NC-State that ended up winning the whole thing.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m going to get out in front of my brackets (because I usually wait for a winner before writing them in) and take the victor of the Butler-VCU game next Monday.<\/p>\n

After red-shirting in 2009 and battling hamstring issues in 2010, former Rosemead kicker Bobby Maldonado is ready to assume a starting role at Mt. SAC this fall.<\/p>\n

Locally Maldonado came to prominence as a sophomore when he kicked a 41-yard field goal in the final seconds of the Panthers 23-21 victory over South El Monte in 2006. The win gave Mead a three-way share of the Mission Valley League title with South and Arroyo.<\/p>\n

Last Add 1983 NCAA Finals: I missed the championship that year. Oh, I\u2019ve missed the NCAA finals before; mission trips to Mexico emergency rooms at the hospital, but 1983 was different.<\/p>\n

In 1983 I was playing in a ridiculous city softball league at Whittier Narrows. How stupid was that? Never again, I vowed to never play city league softball. Twenty-eight years later, so far, so good.<\/p>\n
