Jessica Loiacano (Player of the Year)<\/p><\/div>\n

This is for the \u201cOriginal 12\u201d schools that were covered by midvalleysports.com.<\/p>\n

Unlike most teams there is no second team, it\u2019s just one team with 11 players with one being named \u201cPlayer of the Year\u201d.<\/p>\n

Much arguing takes place to make sure the right players get on the All-Mid Valley Old School 12 Team.<\/p>\n

Now here is this year’s team:<\/p>\n

Player of the Year: Jessica Loiacano (Temple City) \u2013 Stellar senior season in which she led the Rams in every offensive category.<\/p>\n

Andrea King (Left, Named Coach of the Year)<\/p><\/div>\n

Coach of the Year: Andrea King (Gabrielino) \u2013 Although the Eagles finished 10-11 not much was expected this season for the team. King managed to get her team to the playoffs and nearly pulled off an upset in the wild card game against Monrovia.<\/p>\n

1B \u2013 Schae Simpson (Monrovia) \u2013 Batted .434 this season and a major reason why the Lady Cats were in the playoff hunt for most of the year.<\/p>\n

Schae Simpson (Monrovia)<\/p><\/div>\n

2B \u2013 Auryanna Erhardt (Duarte) \u2013 Two homers on the season for the senior leader of the Falcons, add a near perfect fielding percentage and you can see why Duarte had a good season.<\/p>\n

SS \u2013 Jessica Loiacano (Temple City) \u2013 No argument here, as Loiacano came up clutch in the playoff clinching game against Monrovia. It also didn\u2019t hurt that Jessica finished this season with five homers, 36 runs batted in and a .514 average.<\/p>\n

3B \u2013 Sami Jakeway (Temple City) \u2013 Made the Rams very dangerous at the 3-4 slot as she batted in front of Loiacano. Jakeway finished with a .412 batting average and 33 hits.<\/p>\n

Sami Jakeway (Temple City)<\/p><\/div>\n

OF \u2013 Karah Hernandez (Rosemead) \u2013 Had a batting average of .451 with three homers while patrolling centerfield.<\/p>\n

OF \u2013 Aracely Sosa (South El Monte) \u2013 Batted .304 for the Eagles and had 6 assists from the outfield.<\/p>\n

OF \u2013 Krystal Chacon (San Gabriel) \u2013 In a season which went downhill quickly for the Matadors, Chacon managed to have a .322 with 20 RBI\u2019s.<\/p>\n

FLEX(DP)<\/span> \u2013 Denise Gonzalez (Alhambra) \u2013 Not really a flex player, but how can you not give her a spot after getting a walk-off homer in the wild card game.<\/p>\n

Kelli Williams (Monrovia)<\/p><\/div>\n

C \u2013 Kelli Williams (Monrovia) \u2013 Lost in the shuffle of some good catchers in the area, Williams can swing a good bat with a .329 average and 26 hits.<\/p>\n

P \u2013 Jaclyn Wagner (Arroyo) \u2013 After a slow start Wagner was nearly unbeatable in the second half of the season.<\/p>\n

P \u2013 Kaysie Gatlin (Duarte) \u2013 Highly touted Falcons had many good cogs to help with its best finish in years, but Gatlin was tough to beat in must-win games.<\/p>\n
