Lupoi was the defensive line coach at Cal.<\/p>\n<p>McCarthy, a defensive tackle who stands 6\u20195\u201d and tips the scales at over 300 pounds, was also considering USC and Oregon. He agreed to become a Bruin\u00a0Monday evening. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>McCarthy has helped the Wildcats to back to back Mid Valley Division CIF titles.
