(Arcadia) – Arcadia, leading 8-0 after a\u00a0seven\u00a0run second\u00a0inning outburst, scrapped for\u00a0two more runs\u00a0in the fifth\u00a0and put and end to the game\u00a0with three in the sixth\u00a0on Cameron Tuck<\/a>‘s two\u00a0run (mercy rule walkoff) hit, to round out\u00a0a\u00a013-3 rout of\u00a0Muir Monday.<\/p>\n In that seven pack second, the Apaches scored on a balk, wild pitch, and double steal, with an RBI single by Brendan Toy<\/a>, a sacrifice fly from Gary Huang<\/a>, and a bases clearing two\u00a0run triple out of Erik Trask<\/a>.<\/p>\n Muir’s pitcher Marcus Hampton stood on for the long haul and went on to sit down nine\u00a0of the next 10 after the Trask triple, featuring excellent play from shortstop Nico Gooniesz Resendiz<\/a>, who stopped a line drive, made the 6-3s twice, and went out of his way into the shallow outfield for two grab-catches. Resendiz, along with Derrell Davis<\/a>, had earlier pinched down infield hits.<\/p>\n The Mustangs, a far cry from struggling teams of late having won four games (3 in 10+ run blowouts) so far this season, amped it up rallying for three runs in their half of the fourth as its first three reached safely. Hampton scored after a throw trying to nail him at third\u00a0short-hopped into the outfield. A walk and two strikeouts followed until Josh Muema<\/span> fired a two run single through\u00a0the 5-6 hole.<\/p>\n Arcadia, with its first two fifth inning batters yielding zero, ended its offensive drought afterwards as Matt Morales<\/a> drilled a hopper towards third. It slipped under the infielder. Cameron Tuck was pegged while David Dominguez<\/a> walked to load the bases.
