Kohl Adams-Hurd played wide receiver and defensive back at Burroughs and attended Humboldt State. His passion is “2nd Gear” and getting football players to the next level.<\/p><\/div>\n

“What we really want to do is extend and invite to all the players in the San Gabriel Valley,” said Burroughs alum Kohl Adams-Hurd. “This is really shaping into an amazing event.”<\/p>\n

\u201c2ND gear was created to give guys good quality exposure,\u201d says Hurd. \u201cWith our new advanced grading scale, and magazine being published and sent to all 800+ football programs in the country you’re bound to get some love from coaches at the next level\u201d<\/p>\n

The Basics of getting to “2ND Gear” are listed below.<\/p>\n

We’re hosting a college experience camp this summer<\/p>\n

its 4 days<\/p>\n

we have a combine the first day<\/p>\n

and the next three days you will experience the life of a college football player<\/p>\n

you’ll learn a playbook<\/p>\n

compete<\/p>\n

go through skills and drills (including aquatic resistance training)<\/p>\n

and be graded on a very technically refined scale that we’ve created<\/p>\n

all of our top athletes are sent to our partners at scout.com<\/p>\n

it’s a great experience and will let you see where you really are in comparison to the rest of the competition<\/p>\n

we also rate you on a scale from 1-10 on things like<\/p>\n

what kind of teammate you are?<\/p>\n

work ethic?<\/p>\n

effort?<\/p>\n

overall athletic ability?<\/p>\n

Football IQ?<\/p>\n

things schools want to know before you even step foot on their campus.<\/p>\n
