They&#8217;re playing in the same league\u00a0as the two time defending Mid-Valley Division champions. They didn&#8217;t\u00a0win their first game\u00a0until the last game of the season.\u00a0So it&#8217;s\u00a0safe to\u00a0say that the Temple City Rams are uh&#8230;flying under the radar coming in to 2012.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_25398\" style=\"width: 410px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25398\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-25398 \" title=\"8-8-12ARC-TC FTTBALL 004\" src=\"http:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/8-8-12ARC-TC-FTTBALL-004-400x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-25398\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Rams Putting their heads together<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But on a hot Tuesday afternoon, the Rams were looking forward to the season as they put on their\u00a0pads and helmets\u00a0for the first time. They have a new quarterback in Anthony Valencia\u00a0and a new running back in\u00a0Nick Starling. Receiver Kasmir Khaliq\u00a0is returning and the\u00a0Rams are expecting big things from\u00a0Chris Reed, who is now the feature back.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_25399\" style=\"width: 410px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25399\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-25399\" title=\"8-8-12ARC-TC FTTBALL 016\" src=\"http:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/8-8-12ARC-TC-FTTBALL-016-400x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-25399\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Newcomer Nick Starling<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Yes Monrovia is the Rio Hondo King, no question.\u00a0But after that it gets interesting.\u00a0La Canada has a new coach,\u00a0South Pasadena quarterback Joey Harmon transferred to Arcadia and San Marino lost some key talent.\u00a0So yes, Temple City is in the mix.
