(We\u2019ve said it before. No second team, no third team, and we don\u2019t make someone an MVP to move them up and then slide someone else into their position. Lot of debate. In the end we realize we\u2019ve made a couple of people happy and a whole host of others very angry. Our choices, we stand by them.)<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

OFFENSE<\/strong><\/p>\n

Quarterback:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Frankie Palmer—La Serna<\/p>\n

(Debate centered here around Downey\u2019s Jorge Reyna and La Mirada\u2019s Gerry Myres, but Palmer carried the votes.)<\/p>\n

Running Backs:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Justin Huff—Downey<\/p>\n

Rashaad Penny—Norwalk<\/p>\n

Reggie Turner—Bonita<\/p>\n

(CIF named five running backs—along with five quarterbacks—to its team. We could only find room for three. Bellflower\u2019s Ryan Hunley, Rowland\u2019s Avery Duffus, and James Williams of Burbank received consideration.)<\/p>\n

Wide Receivers:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dallas Shipp—La Mirada<\/p>\n

(There was only one wide receiver in this division worthy of being named to this team. Kanya Bell (Diamond Bar) and Mike Davis (Glendale) had their names come up. Shipp was the only one to take the spot.)<\/p>\n

Offensive Line:<\/strong><\/p>\n

(The nature of the Southeast is to run the ball, and then run it some more. It is loaded with offensive linemen, espeically tackles. So when we decided to go with one receiver, we added a third tackle \u201cquick tackle\u201d to help with some pulling and blocking. You might call it a reach, but every one of the players below are listed in their proper 2012 position.\u00a0 Paramount\u2019s LT Chris Borrayo is not listed below, we couldn\u2019t find a spot for him.)<\/p>\n
