{"id":3336,"date":"2009-10-09T23:41:17","date_gmt":"2009-10-10T06:41:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/?p=3336"},"modified":"2009-10-09T23:44:25","modified_gmt":"2009-10-10T06:44:25","slug":"rams-knockout-lancers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/?p=3336","title":{"rendered":"Rams Knockout Lancers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By George Hernandez<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>(Temple City)- Temple City turned a close game at the half into a dominating 42-20\u00a0win over La Salle on Friday night by riding the back of tailback Max Ruckle for 200-yards rushing and three touchdowns.<\/p>\n<p>The Rams got on the board on the third play of the game when quarterback Justin Smith hit a wide open David Spratt for a 79-yard touchdown pass.<\/p>\n<p>La Salle cut into the lead when fullback James Harmon took the ball in from one yard out to make it 7-6 after the kick failed. The Lancers took the lead when quarterback Michael Alexander ran in from 16-yards out to make it 13-6 following the point after.<\/p>\n<p>After a slow start Ruckle scored his first touchdown in the second quarter when he ran through La Salle&#8217;s defense for a 46-yard score.<\/p>\n<p>A three and out for the Lancers gave the ball back to TC but Smith fumbled the ball and Jacinto Dyson scooped it up and ran it in from 42-yards out.<\/p>\n<p>With only a second left in the first half Smith hit Andrew Anda for a 15 yard touchdown pass.<\/p>\n<p>Temple City had the lone score of the third quarter when sophomore running back Andrew Gibson took it in from one yard out.<\/p>\n<p>Ruckle opened it wide open in the fourth quarter with scoring runs of two and 66-yards.<\/p>\n<p>La Salle running back Marcus Wells finished with 96-yards on the ground, Alexander had 107 total yards and an interception.<\/p>\n<p>Smith only went 5 of 15 but had 169 yards passing and two touchdown passes.
