As a sophomore he had a big year for South Pasadena throwing for nearly\u00a01000 yards\u00a0in 2011 before transferring to\u00a0Arcadia last summer. Harmon has the size,\u00a06-2, and the arm strength to put up some big numbers and make things happen.\u00a0Arcadia has some\u00a0athletes\u00a0in the skill positions\u00a0that should help Harmon succeed.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Apaches had to wait a year for Harmon\u00a0and finished\u00a0just 4-7 in 2012\u00a0 although they did manage\u00a0to sneak into the playoffs.\u00a0They are hoping\u00a0the wait will be worth it in 2013. In the tough Pacific, Arcadia will be\u00a0relying heavily on Harmon to\u00a0lead them into the post season and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m going to have a lot of fun calling plays with this guy under center. His football IQ is remarkable,&#8221; said Arcadia OC Eric Elias. &#8220;He knows exactly what I&#8217;m going to tell him before I\u00a0tell him.\u00a0I promise this kid will shine in the fall.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Elias likes to compare Harmon to another former Arcadia quarterback.\u00a0&#8220;Joey, like Myles Carr, makes life as an OC easy. He&#8217;s smart, respectful and talented.\u00a0That was just bad\u00a0luck last August when he was injured,&#8221; Elias added. &#8220;Joey doesn&#8217;t just work Monday through Friday, he works Saturday and Sunday as well.
