The Lions are hoping they have enough once league play starts. It’s going to be a long year for G-Stone. There’s a new coach, and a ton of new players. The Gladiators lost everybody. El Monte evens its record.

El Monte 31 Gladstone 14

Baldwin Park (3-0) at Ganesha (1-1)

BP’s win over Gladstone last week was close but the Braves will take it. Heck if you’re 3-0 what else can you ask for? Ganesha has had a long decade, although the Giants did get a win last week over Garey. The Braves have beaten the three opponents put in front of them and this one should be no different. It might not be a rout but Baldwin Park gets its fourth straight W.

Baldwin Park 21 Ganesha 10

La Mirada (0-3) at St. Francis (2-0)

Last Year: La Mirada 28-21

The Matadores would love to get a victory before Suburban League begins. In fact they need to get a win before league play begins. A tough schedule is one thing but at some point you need a victory. St. Francis is unbeaten so far but La Mirada is by far the toughest opponent the Golden Knights have faced. It might be close and won’t be decided until the fourth quarter but the Mats will finally break through.
