(Photo by Steven Mercado)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>When Jake Payton left San Dimas for Bonita, the Saints were written off. When SD started the season 0-4, anyone still on the bandwagon slithered away. Joseph Mayorga\u2019s addition to the offense was viewed as nice, but not world changing.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The world might not have been changed by Mayorga, but the Mid-Valley division was impacted.<\/p>\n<p>After missing the opening, Mayorga was like a bullet train the rest of the way as he rushed for 1,869 yards and 18 touchdowns (19 total). Mayorga was the big play-maker and it was his touchdown run late in the contest against Paraclete that gave San Dimas the CIF title.<\/p>\n<p>The numbers look really good; 8 games over a 100 yards rushing, 6 times over 150 yards, 3 times over 200 yards, and a herculean 337 yard, 4 touchdown performance Against Arroyo in the semifinals.
