Mustangs are in a must-win situation as the Pacific League season winds down.\u00a0 Tornadoes are just playing out the season as they have been eliminated from the post-season.<\/p>\n
Jarron Williams is all-everything for for the Muir and should have a big game against Hoover.\u00a0 AJ Pule has had a tough season at quarterback for the Tornadoes.<\/p>\n
With Hoover allowing nearly 50 points-per-game during the Pacific League, it would be hard to imagine that they play defense against the Mustangs.<\/p>\n
Muir is just too athletic for the Tornadoes.<\/p>\n

Alhambra (4-2, 1-1) @ San Gabriel (4-3, 2-0)<\/p>\n
Last year: Alhambra 30-14<\/p>\n
Since 1963: Alhambra 27-18<\/p>\n
The Moors got healthy last week against Montebello as Darrin Cazarin threw for 338 yards in a win against Montebello.\u00a0 The Matadors finally showed their explosiveness by scoring 49 points against Bell Gardens.<\/p>\n
Key to the game will be which team will establish the running game early.\u00a0 Both teams have struggled to run the ball consistently during this season.<\/p>\n
With two talented quarterbacks it helps to know that they can manage a game in the air if their running games go MIA, which seems to be a habit for both teams.<\/p>\n
San Gabriel got a boost offensively last week when Alex Lopez returned after a injury derailed his pre-season.\u00a0 Arthur Brown and Fabian Amaro will need to pound the ball against a good Alhambra defense.\u00a0 Isaac Valdez is steady as they come under center, but needs time to throw.\u00a0 If he can get the same protection as last week, it will be a long night for the Moors.<\/p>\n
Alhambra is very one dimensional this season as they have not been able to establish any running game.\u00a0 Cazarin has been the key to wins, when he is finding Mitchell Crockum and Joseph Becerra.\u00a0 If not, he is known to throw interceptions as witnessed in the Schurr game.<\/p>\n
This game will come down to protection.\u00a0 Will the Matadors be able to control Brandon Wilson’s pass rush?\u00a0 Will the Moors be able to run more then the 55 yards per game they have done all season?<\/p>\n

Last Year: Bell Gardens 45-8<\/p>\n
The Aztecs have been much more competitive this season and could easily have two more wins.\u00a0 The Lancers are too predictable on offense the last few games to make any teams shake.<\/p>\n
Keppel will be in this game and Bobby Madrid is learning how to get the best out of his team.\u00a0 He can also make adjustments.\u00a0 Bell Gardens will be able to establish a running game and ground out a victory against an improving Aztecs team.<\/p>\n

Schurr (5-1-1) @ Montebello (2-5, 0-2)<\/p>\n
Last Year: Schurr 28-18<\/p>\n
The Spartans are in a dicey position this week.\u00a0 They have San Gabriel in their crosshairs for a title shot.\u00a0 The Oilers is trying to play spoiler as last week’s loss to Alhambra has put them in a huge hole to get into the playoffs.<\/p>\n
Schurr should be able to neutralize the Montebello ground game as they have been solid defensively.\u00a0 Aaron Cantu will be able to get his yards in the air against a defense that allowed almost 400 yards last week.<\/p>\n
The Oilers will need to jump on the Spartans if they want any chance to win this game.<\/p>\n

California(4-2-1) @ Pioneer (3-4, 1-1)<\/p>\n
Last Year:\u00a0 California 58-13<\/p>\n
Condors ran their way to win last week against El Rancho as they rushed for 405 yards.\u00a0 Terris Jones led the team with 279 yards.\u00a0 Defensively, California will cause too many problems against the Titans.<\/p>\n
Pioneer has one tough quarterback in Steven Del Villar who single handedly beat La Serna last week with 323 yards.\u00a0 Del Villar’s favorite receiver last week was Anthony Bolanos who caught seven passes for 156 yards.<\/p>\n
If the Condors can shut down the air attack of Pioneer it isn’t a contest.\u00a0 California also has way too many weapons to get shut down by the Titans.<\/p>\n

La Serna (1-6, 1-1) vs Whittier(3-4, 0-2) @ California HS<\/p>\n
Last Year: La Serna 31-14<\/p>\n
The way the Del Rio League has been this season, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Cardinals upset the Lancers.<\/p>\n
Whittier were close to Santa Fe but not good enough last week.\u00a0 La Serna lost a game they should have won on paper against Pioneer.<\/p>\n

Santa Fe (5-2, 1-1) @ El Rancho (4-3, 1-1)<\/p>\n
Last Year: Santa Fe 31-21<\/p>\n
This game might be the one that decides the fate for both teams.<\/p>\n
After getting upset two weeks ago, the Chiefs played well enough to beat Whittier last week.\u00a0 The Dons were still waking up this week with Terris Jones nightmares after they gave up over 400 yards rushing.<\/p>\n
Santa Fe needs to establish a balance attack and allow quarterback Alex Flores create plays on his feet and arm.\u00a0 The last two weeks have not been stellar for the Chiefs as they only score 16 points last week and a loss to winless La Serna two weeks ago.<\/p>\n
El Rancho needs to get Art Franco and Ronnel Lone lots of touches on the ground and have Josh Perea just manage the offense.\u00a0 The defense also has to limit yards gained.<\/p>\n

Charter Oak (7-1, 2-0) @ Wilson (2-5, 0-1)<\/p>\n
Last Year:\u00a0 Charter Oak 42-15<\/p>\n
A win and the Chargers clinch a playoff spot in the Southeast Division.\u00a0 A Wilson loss and they will be looking for help to get in to the playoffs.<\/p>\n
Charter Oak has yet to allow a score in the Miramonte League in two games.\u00a0 Adam Muema is averaging 110 yards a game on the ground and Travis Santiago has finally settled in as the starting quarterback.\u00a0 A.J. Powell can beat a team on defense, offense and special teams.
\nWilson has given up 110 points in two games and have scored 29 points.\u00a0 That isn’t the way you will win games.<\/p>\n
The Chargers may end up getting another shut out this week.<\/p>\n

Diamond Ranch (1-6, 0-1) @ Bonita (2-5, 1-1)<\/p>\n

Timing is everything for the Panthers, they came off a bye week with 12 players being ill against Charter Oak.\u00a0 The Bearcats found out a cure what ails in Los Altos last week.<\/p>\n
Diamond Ranch isn’t panicking just yet as they still have Los Altos and Wilson remaining on their schedule but a win against Bonita would go along way in getting them in the playoffs.<\/p>\n
Bonita only has Wilson remaining and is in a good spot for getting into the playoffs as well.<\/p>\n
Gus Viramontes and Brandon Taylor are the key to the Panthers offense, while everyone knows that their defense is stout.\u00a0 Diamond Ranch can take heed in knowing they held high powered Charter Oak to 12 points.<\/p>\n
Bonita needs to have Evan Highley at quarterback as he can run and pass.\u00a0 Casey Horine is a team leader on both sides of the ball.<\/p>\n

Bulldogs win they clinch, a loss by Arcadia all but eliminates them from the post season.<\/p>\n
Burbank’s double-trouble duo of Ulisses Ochoa and Leo Rodas who lead a team that rushes for 280 yards a game.\u00a0 Quarterback Adam Colman has 16 touchdowns and two interceptions.<\/p>\n
The Apaches have been playing without senior quarterback Garrett Tuck for much of the season and the workload has gone to running back Rodney Arnett who has been pounding the ball all season long.<\/p>\n
Burbank is going to be too much for Arcadia.<\/p>\n

Bulldogs used a new offensive formation to run for over 400 yards on the ground against a over matched Glendale.\u00a0 The Falcons jumped out to a 21 point lead against Muir and held them off last week.<\/p>\n
Pasadena must continue to run the ball against Crescenta Valley and hope they don’t fall behind early as they don’t have a quarterback that can lead them back.\u00a0 The Falcons have Harold Pessy running the ball and Kyle Cota can throw the ball when asked.\u00a0 He can also scramble.<\/p>\n
This game will be close, but Crescenta Valley has been in this position before.<\/p>\n

Mustangs have too many weapons and they are going to be angry after losses to Rowland and West Covina.<\/p>\n

West Covina (4-4, 1-1) @ Rowland (7-0, 2-0)<\/p>\n
Last Year: Rowland 49-21<\/p>\n
West Covina established the run early against Walnut in the win on Friday.\u00a0 Rowland got what the doctor ordered in Wilson as they were able to iron out kinks with their offense minus Michael Ball.
\nThe Bulldogs will try and wear down the Raiders with Ricky Johnson and Jesse Ili.\u00a0 As long as they are able to run the ball and limit George Johnson throwing, West Covina will have a shot to win.\u00a0 Defensively they need to put as much pressure on Leonardo Freeman as possible.<\/p>\n
Rowland will need to have Josh Onovughe run the ball and punish the defensive front line of the Bulldogs.\u00a0 If they need to throw the ball, Freeman will have to find Stephen David.\u00a0 The Raiders have been pretty good on defense as they have allowed 45 points in the last four games.<\/p>\n
Rowland is going to have their hands full.\u00a0 A win by the Raiders sets up a title shot against South Hills.<\/p>\n
