Robert Leos and the Condors run over the Gahr Gladiators<\/p><\/div>\n

(Whittier) –\u00a0It took awhile to get rolling\u00a0but when California did it had more than enough in a 28-0 shutout of Gahr Saturday night at Dick Torres Stadium.<\/p>\n

The game was scoreless at the half and neither team reached the red zone until Cal picked up a first down\u00a0at the Gahr 16 yard line with 8:27 left in the third quarter. Cal completed the march just over a minute later when Robert Leos blasted into the end zone from four yards out for a 7-0 lead.<\/p>\n

After the defense stopped the Gladiators again Leos got his second of the night racing 45 yards for a touchdown\u00a0past the Gahr secondary.\u00a0The Condors piled on a couple of more score in the fourth quarter to account for the final margin. Andrew Reyes rumbled in for a 12 yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter and\u00a0Evan Barajas hit\u00a0Albert Rivas over the middle on a 12 yard TD strike with 4:20 left.<\/p>\n

Gahr never could get on track offensively turning the ball\u00a0over three times – all interceptions-\u00a0including twice in the first half.<\/p>\n

*** Leos rushed for 169 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries.<\/p>\n

***\u00a0Reyes and Gabriel Cosio combined for 108 yards as the Condors racked up\u00a0over 280 yards on the ground overall.<\/p>\n

*** Cal quarterback\u00a0Barajas put the ball\u00a0up just ten times completing four and a touchdown.<\/p>\n

*** Cal also had three turnovers ( two fumbles, 1 interception) but Gahr was unable to take advantage.<\/p>\n

*** This was the third game in three nights played at Pioneer’s Dick Torres Stadium.\u00a0Pioneer beat Artesia there Thursday night and Santa fell to St. Joseph\u00a0on Friday night.<\/p>\n

*** A year ago to the exact date Cal also scored 28 points vs. Gahr.\u00a0On August 29, 2014 Cal beat Gahr 28-26 at Gahr.<\/p>\n

*** Gahr never advanced the ball past the twenty yard line and was inside the thirty just once.<\/p>\n

*** Leos also intercepted a pass.\u00a0Jacob Marron and Kyle Reyes had the other two picks.<\/p>\n
