The Wilson Wildcats were no match for the visiting Los Altos Conquerors, as the Conquerors beat the Wildcats, 47-7, Friday evening at Dave Merrill Stadium.<\/p>\n

Los Altos utilized a \u201cquick strike\u201d offense, scoring on three separate one play possessions. While the night\u00a0belonged to Los Altos, the game belonged to<\/p>\n

Tyler Nevens, who ran for touchdowns\u00a0of 14, 40, and 60 yards, while catching a touchdown\u00a0pass of 26 yards. Nevens finished\u00a0the evening with 8 carries for 154 yards, and four touchdowns\u2026while playing in only the first half of the contest.<\/p>\n

Defensively, the Conquerors feasted on an abundance of Wilson turnovers. Linebacker Andrew Orozco recovered two Wildcat fumbles. and not to be left out, DL Jayson Jones got one.<\/p>\n

Linebacker\u00a0Joey Miner, DL Kiel Caal, and DL Arturo Vargas recovered a Wilson fumble. The final Wilson turnover, an interception, was added by DB Robert Ramirez.<\/p>\n

The game began with the Wildcats losing\u00a0starting quarterback\u00a0Joe Figueroa. Figueroa suffered a wrist injury on the second play of the game, and did not return to the contest.<\/p>\n

The Wildcats avoided a shutout when, with 4:25 remaining in the game, replacement QB Jonathan Gonzales scored on a 75 yard TD run.<\/p>\n
