Right off the Top:<\/strong> I love Kazmir\u2026I think it\u2019s one of the best things Led Zeppelin ever did.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve decided to change Tim Peterson\u2019s nickname to \u201cThe Swedish Ear\u201d because the dude seems to be getting everything.<\/p>\n

I used to think I got scoop, but after backing off the last couple of years\u2026I\u2019ve come to realize I never had it going on like Peterson. If he was a Ghostbuster, he\u2019d be the heart of the Ghostbusters. If he was part of a drink, he\u2019d be the swizzle stick.<\/p>\n

So while he\u2019s got all of these contacts\u2026I\u2019ve morphed back into fandom. There were times writing Fanview became a bit of a stress because I didn\u2019t want to share something I wasn\u2019t supposed to\u2026at the wrong time\u2026with jobs being in the balance\u2026Knowing stuff is a huge responsibility. It\u2019s not always cool\u2026but as a fan\u2026giving a fans view (so to speak) it\u2019s like going to the rifle range and unloading a magazine of nine-millimeter, semi-automatic text.<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t have to think much\u2026you just let it rip\u2026So, with that said, this is what I\u2019ve noticed.<\/p>\n

Monrovia\u2026I say this with nothing but love for M-Town, love the street fair and the great places to dine, but…you need to shut up. Don\u2019t question the hiring of Jerry Chou\u2026
\nMonrovian football fans (not the \u201cMonrovian\u201d restaurant)\u2026Are fickle people. I was on the sideline in the fall of 2000 when the Wildcats were coming off of three consecutive championship game appearances\u2026and the fans in the stands, as well as those gathered around the sidelines wanted Steve Garrison\u2019s head.<\/p>\n

I was on the sideline a few years ago as Ryan Maddox\u2019s team was about to win it\u2019s third consecutive CIF title\u2026They were whipping Paraclete in the fourth quarter\u2026and people were questioning Maddox.<\/p>\n

Last season, during a run of consecutive playoff appearances, Chris Stevens was being maligned\u2026Monrovia fans, you need to shut up\u2026You need to appreciate the fact that you have a great environment and do everything to keep it\u2026The hiring of Chou is the equivalent of the Lakers bringing in Phil Jackson.<\/p>\n

Last note to Monrovia fans: If you don\u2019t think environment is fragile\u2026if you don\u2019t think atmosphere is important\u2026Check with El Monte right now and see how things are going as it is still looking to replace Joel Sanchez.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not a coach, I have a different career, but if it was my career and I was a coach\u2026I certainly wouldn\u2019t go to El Monte to coach football\u2026That place is mastering the art of the self-inflicted wound\u2026and I don\u2019t know anything going on, on the inside\u2026I just know what I see.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, March 26th at Rudy\u2019s BBQ in Goodyear, Arizona, I asked Andy Villanueva what he thought of Oklahoma\u2019s Buddy Hield.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe will play at least ten years in the NBA and be a star,\u201d Villanueva said.<\/p>\n

Okay.<\/p>\n

I like Hield\u2026but the guy I saw against Villanova in the Final Four was a guy who stood around a lot and didn\u2019t move to get open. As the Wildcats trouncing of the Sooners went from epic to apocalyptic I posted on Facebook that Hield needs a course in \u201cReggie Miller 101\u201d\u2026Note to Lakers fans: Jumping off the Ben Simmons bandwagon for Hield might not be the smartest move.<\/p>\n

\u2026Then again, what do I know? I\u2019m still waiting for the team to re-sign C.J. Kupec.<\/p>\n

Oh, that was Scott Kazmir not \u201cKashmir\u201d by Led Zeppelin that was \u201cdealing\u201d (\u201cdealing\u201d being the word \u201cThose_Benchwarmers\u201d used to describe the lefty\u2019s performance Tuesday), against the San Diego Padres last night?<\/p>\n

Kazmir gave up one hit in six-innings\u2026.against the Padres. I could go a strong five against the Padres\u2026I bet even The Swedish Ear could go a solid three against that team from PetCo.<\/p>\n

I still prefer \u201cKashmir\u201d Georgy\u2026<\/p>\n

Coming off the juice of my nearly spot-on prediction of the Villanova-North Carolina final (I had it 72-69, \u2018Nova. It ended 77-74, \u2018Nova)\u2026I\u2019m ready to say that if the Cleveland Indians can make a Cespedes-type deal this summer, they can be what the New York Mets were in 2015.<\/p>\n
