San Marino had trouble dealing with a Whole lot of Tyler Nevens<\/p><\/div>\n

(San\u00a0Marino) – Tyler Nevens rushed for 288 yards and four touchdowns to lead Los Altos\u00a0to a 38-6 rout of San Marino Friday night\u00a0on the Titans home field.<\/p>\n

Nevens\u00a0seemed to score at will for\u00a0the Conquerors breaking off\u00a0touchdown runs\u00a0of 79 yards\u00a0in the first half and 44, 57 and 65 in the second half.<\/p>\n

Los Altos scored on its first two possessions. Kody Olmos\u00a0threw a 24-yard TD\u00a0strike\u00a0for a 7-0 advantage. On the next series the Conquerors used just one play\u00a0as Nevens broke off the 79 yard\u00a0touchdown run\u00a0for a 14-0 lead. Hunter White\u00a0booted a 32-yard field goal as time ran out in the first half to make it\u00a017-0.<\/p>\n

The Los Altos D kept the pressure on San Marino<\/p><\/div>\n

San Marino, who won the\u00a0Central Division CIF\u00a0title\u00a0a year ago,\u00a0struggled for most of the night offensively keeping the ball on the ground.\u00a0The Titans, who lost a majority of their key players\u00a0from\u00a0last years juggernaut,\u00a0looked like a completely different team.<\/p>\n

Nevens put it away\u00a0in the second half with the three long touchdown runs. San Marino finally got on the board in the third quarter but that was all it could muster.<\/p>\n

** Nevens final stats: 10-288-4 TD.<\/p>\n

** Beau Hobbie, scored the only touchdown for\u00a0San Marino on a two-yard run with 4:33 left in the third quarter.<\/p>\n

** On Nevens 65 yard\u00a0touchdown run\u00a0in the fourth quarter, he was trapped in the backfield before busting several tackles and breaking free and was off to the races. Nevens also had a 33-yard touchdown run called back in the second quarter by a holding call.<\/p>\n

** Olmos completed seven of 11 for 107 yards and a touchdown.<\/p>\n

** San Marino quarterback Blake Cabot\u00a0threw the ball just eight times\u00a0and completed\u00a0one for eight yards.<\/p>\n

** Michael Chan, San Marino’s primary source on\u00a0offense, had 26 carries for 147 yards\u00a0for San Marino.<\/p>\n

** Los Altos had two turnovers and\u00a0San Marino had one.<\/p>\n

** Former\u00a0Los Altos\/USC\/NFL\u00a0star Shaun\u00a0Cody was on hand to watch his former team.<\/p>\n

** This was San Marino’s first regular season loss since\u00a0the Titans fell to Monrovia 48-42 on October 10, 2014.<\/p>\n
