(Alhambra) – Alhambra\u00a0gave\u00a0Schurr all it could handle\u00a0but in the end\u00a0the Spartans\u00a0had enough to beat\u00a0the Moors\u00a041-28 to finish\u00a0second\u00a0in the Almont League. <\/p>\n
Schurr quarterback Miguel\u00a0Aguero completed 18 of 23 for\u00a0267 yards and five touchdowns and Lance Babb\u00a0had 10 receptions\u00a0for 149 yards and four scores. Noah Rangel added to the offensive explosion for the Spartans with 195 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries.<\/p>\n
Schurr racked up 477 yards\u00a0overall with 210\u00a0coming on the ground.<\/p>\n
For Alhambra Salman Gurung had 155 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries\u00a0and Lu-Ring Paialii had 22 carries for 111 yards and a pair of scores.<\/p>\n
Dominic\u00a0Wilson was just 4 of 11 for 25 yards through the air for the Moors but he did return a punt for a touchdown to bring Alhambra within 28-21 before halftime.<\/p>\n
The Moors had 327 total yards on the night – 302 rushing.<\/p>\n
Schurr improved to 7-3 overall and 4-1 in the Almont to take second behind Montebello. Alhambra took third going 5-5 and 3-2.<\/p>\n
