(Arcadia) – Crescenta Valley\u00a0racked up over 400 yards of total offense\u00a0and went\u00a0on to beat Arcadia\u00a049-28 Friday night to secure the Pacific League championship.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Everybody got into the act for the Falcons. Cole Doyle threw for 187 yards and a touchdown and\u00a0ran for 81 yards and a pair of scores. Tyler\u00a0Hill, who once played\u00a0quarterback for CV,\u00a0scored three touchdowns\u00a0on short runs, Brandon Beardt\u00a0hauled in a TD pass\u00a0and Joe Suh also\u00a0had a touchdown run.<\/p>\n

CV led 28-7 at the half, scoring\u00a0on its first three possessions\u00a0and also with\u00a0just 11 seconds left in the half on the two-yard run by Suh.\u00a0Doyle scored on a 15-yard run\u00a0as the Falcons needed just\u00a0four plays to find the end zone on their first possession.<\/p>\n

After forcing\u00a0Arcadia to punt\u00a0Crescenta Valley put together a\u00a010-play, 92 yard drive that Hill finished with\u00a0a two-yard run. When Doyle scored on a five-yard run early in the second quarter the\u00a0Falcons\u00a0were up 21-0.<\/p>\n

Raeshawn Roland hauled in a 29-yard touchdown pass from Max Davila on the Apaches next series to cut the lead\u00a0to 21-7.\u00a0Crescenta Valley marched 80 yards on 8-plays and a couple\u00a0of key penalties\u00a0at the end of the first half. Suh\u00a0blasted in from two yards out\u00a0for a 28-7 lead.<\/p>\n

Hill scored from a yard out\u00a0early in the third\u00a0to make it 35-7\u00a0and\u00a0the Falcon bus driver was reaching for his keys.\u00a0Arcadia tried to answer\u00a0as Roland,\u00a0who was the highlight reel for the Apaches,\u00a0returned the\u00a0kick off 97 yards for a touchdown.<\/p>\n

Roland\u00a0scored his third of the night on a 14-yard touchdown reception from Davila\u00a0in the fourth\u00a0after Hill\u00a0got his third of the night for CV on a one-yard run. Davila\u00a0got Arcadia within 14 points\u00a0on a one-yard keeper with just six minutes\u00a0left after Arcadia recovered an onside kick.\u00a0But the Falcons\u00a0sent everybody home two minutes later when Doyle swung it out to Beardt\u00a0who scurried into the end zone\u00a0from nine yards out.<\/p>\n

Beardt had four catches for\u00a032 yards\u00a0and the touchdown\u00a0and Tyler Lobianco\u00a0hauled in two passes\u00a0for 49 yards. Omri Edwards led the CV running attack with 122 yards\u00a0on 18 carries.<\/p>\n

Roland was the offensive focal point of the Apache offense with six catches\u00a0for 106 yards and three touchdowns.<\/p>\n

With the victory the Falcons finished\u00a09-1 overall and 7-0 in the Pacific. Arcadia ended up 5-2,\u00a0third in the league, and 8-2 overall. Crescenta Valley\u00a0will be home for the first round of the playoffs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
