Eric MacIntyre has stepped down as the head coach at El Monte after one year<\/p><\/div>\n

(El Monte) – Eric\u00a0MacIntyre has stepped down as the head coach at El Monte after just one year\u00a0MacIntyre\u00a0confirmed Wednesday. <\/p>\n

MacIntyre led the Lions to a\u00a06-5 overall record and a trip\u00a0to the first round\u00a0of the CIF Division 13\u00a0playoffs where they lost to Boron. El Monte finished third in the Mission Valley League\u00a0with a record of 4-2 behind Arroyo and South El Monte.<\/p>\n

MacIntyre spent three years as the head coach at Workman\u00a0before taking over at El Monte for Joel Sanchez\u00a0in April of last year.<\/p>\n

The search for a new head coach for the Lions will begin immediately.<\/p>\n
