Sorry Hans, wrong guess. Instead, the Eagles gave the ball to Jarvis Godinez their next possession.<\/p>\n<p>Godinez went 18-yards on a pass from Olmos. Then, four plays later ripped through the LP defense for a 29-yard touchdown run.<\/p>\n<p>Gaspar Beltran continued (and would continue) to add the extra-points, and for now, it was 14-0.<\/p>\n<p>After three different players excelled with the ball, Gallardo went back to Tovar. The senior ground gainer scored on a 21-yard touchdown run and followed it with a 77-yard scoring run.<\/p>\n<p>Then with 2:43 to play in the half, Godinez went 50-yards to paydirt.<\/p>\n<p>The second half was played with a running clock\u2026And Tovar started the Eagles end of the third quarter with a 72-yard scoring run called back on a penalty. A couple of minutes later, he was forced to settle for a 46-yard touchdown sprint.<\/p>\n<p>La Puente turned the ball over on downs twice and punted six times in between. The Warriors were suffocated by the Eagles defense. Mark Sosa recorded a sack, Tovar broke up a pass and the rest of the unit swarmed to the ball.<\/p>\n<p>The defense was solid, the offensive diversified and what made everything for Frank Gallardo team was his offensive line.<\/p>\n<p>Anthony Hernandez, Sergio Jimenez, Anthony Gomez, Javier Martinez and Fernando Flores, \u201cThe Devil\u2019s Herd,\u201d plowed the road and made all things possible in Week One of the 2017 season.<\/p>\n<p>Including 436 yards of total offensive\u2026Olmos completing 7 of 7 passes for 118-yards and a touchdown\u2026Tovar rushing for 207 yards on 8 carries\u2026Godinez combining for over 100-yards rushing and receiving.<\/p>\n<p>South host\u2019s Walnut next week.
