1. Arizona guard Allonzo Trier has been declared ineligible by the NCAA after testing positive for a banned substance. Trier is averaging over 19 points per game.<\/p>\n

2. Larry Nance Jr. will wear his father’s number 22 for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Nance Sr.’s number was retired by the Cavaliers in 1995 but the NBA worked it out so Nance Jr. can make the switch from number 24.<\/p>\n

3. The Pittsburgh Pirates acquired outfielder Corey Dickerson from the Tampa Bay Rays for pitcher Daniel Hudson, a minor leaguer and cash.<\/p>\n

4. Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinateri signed a one-year deal to return for his 23rd NFL season.<\/p>\n

5. The Glendora girls basketball team is now 29-0 and will face Village Christian Saturday night in the Division 2A semi finals.<\/p>\n

6. The Arroyo girls were eliminated in the Division 4A quarter finals by Providence 46-41 Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

7. The U.S. Women’s hockey team beat Canada 3-2 in a shootout to capture the gold medal Wednesday night in Pyeongchang. It was the first gold medal for the U.S women since 1998.<\/p>\n

8. LAFC will open its inaugural MLS season March 4 at home against the Seattle Sounders.<\/p>\n
