Warren (1-0) at La Serna (0-1) (at California) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Good matchup on a Thursday night. La Serna lost a tough one in overtime to Bonita while Warren wiped out Wilson (Long Beach). The Lancers have a tough non -league schedule. Warren gets the W. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monrovia (1-0) at Arcadia (1-0) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arcadia raised a few eyebrows with a nice win over Marina. Monrovia had to rally but ultimately did what it needed to do against West Covina. Wildcats should have enough. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Northview (1-0) at Charter Oak (1-0) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charter Oak looks to be back after a big win over St. Joseph. The Chargers could be poised for a big year. Northview rolled but the Vikings weren’t tested against La Puente . They will be this week. Charter Oak wins at home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bonita (1-0) at Downey (0-1) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Downey came up short but Corona Del Mar tends to make a lot of teams come up short. Bonita is coming off a nice win over the aforementioned La Serna. Bonita will be in it until the end but Downey wins a close one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Glendora (1-0) at Covina (0-0) (Covina District Field) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s the opener for Covina and the Colts should come out fired up. Glendora is coming off a win over West Ranch. Good early test for Covina however the Tartans have to much. Glendora goes 2-0. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

San Dimas (1-0) at Montebello (0-1) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some people doubted Whittier last week. I’m not really sure why. The Saints marched all over Whittier while the Oilers had a tough pull with a talented Garfield team. They’ll have their hands full this week as well. San Dimas gets it done. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ganesha (0-0) at Arroyo (0-0) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arroyo was supposed to host Sierra Vista but the Dons had to cancel. Azusa also canceled its game with Ganesha. So the two schools worked it out and now we have Ganesha at Arroyo. Arroyo hasn’t played in two years and is chomping at the bit. Ganesha is no pushover but it should be a successful debut for Knight head coach Chuck Leonardis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bell Gardens (0-1) at El Rancho (1-0) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Rancho routed Don Lugo last week in a game people thought would be much closer. Good win for the Dons. Bell Gardens took a beating by Troy. El Rancho gets the victory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Schurr-South Torrance game Friday night was moved to South Torrance. The Baldwin Park-South El Monte game was canceled due to a positive COVID-19 test from South El Monte. The game will be made up in September. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
