It may get tougher Thursday night. The Tartans have shined all year in an unbeaten season led by hard nosed running back Braydon Brus. Their win over Ayala two weeks ago was huge. Glendora won’t stumble against Colony. Tartans remain undefeated.

Glendora 34 Colony 14

Diamond Ranch (1-6) at Northview (2-5) (Covina District Field)

Tough year so far for both teams. Diamond Ranch actually led unbeaten St. Paul at halftime a few weeks ago before faltering in the second half. Northview has lost two games by a total of five points. If the Vikings turned those into victories they have a winning record. Should be a close game that is decided late in the fourth quarter. Northview holds off D Ranch late.

Northview 21 Diamond Ranch 17

Friday October 15

La Serna (5-2) at California (4-3)

Cal competed with El Rancho but came up short. La Serna, after a couple of hiccups early, has been rolling lately. The Lancers have outscored their last three opponents 141-21. The Condors may have a moment here and there but this night will belong to La Serna.

La Serna 38 California 10

Rosemead (3-4) at Arroyo (7-0)

The Mission Valley League is on the line in this one. Arroyo is still unbeaten while Rosemead just dropped 77 on Gabrielino. The Panthers won’t be dropping 77 here. Their defense will need to step up to stop the Knights passing game. Rosemead will come to play but can the Panthers get all the way over the top? They’ll come close but Omar Navarro and the Knights emerge with the victory.

Arroyo 24 Rosemead 14

Monrovia (7-0) at San Marino (3-3)

I was told La Canada would beat Monrovia.
