(Pasadena) The Pasadena Bulldogs announced their presence in round one of the CIF Division VII playoffs with a resounding 50-13 win at Pasadena High School over the visiting Thousand Oaks Lancers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The Bulldog offense was clicking on all cylinders and scores were coming on the ground and in the air. When things are going that well for Pasadena, you better be able to answer in like fashion if you are planning to keep up!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other side of the line of scrimmage, the Lancers had one option, Charlie Spencer. The senior quarterback was the only weapon Thousand Oaks had. It\u2019s a tough row to plow when the defense only has one person to contain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That being said, Spencer did manage to gain 144-yards on 25 carries with his teams only two touchdowns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the Bulldogs it was what the Pasadena faithfull have come to expect. Kayden Taylor accounting for multiple touchdowns on the ground and in the air and with Daylon Beasley getting into the act with a couple of scores of his own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thousand Oaks got the ball first and went on a drive down to the Pasadena 36 but on fourth and eight, Spencer\u2019s pass fell incomplete, turning the ball over to the Bulldogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bulldogs covered the 64-yards on five plays with Taylor hitting Cameron Mitchell from 39-yards out. Andres Reyes added the point after for the 7-0 lead midway through the first quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With just under three minutes left in the first, Pasadena got on the board again this time with Beasley\u2019s first score on a 2-yard run. The drive was set up with Jason Sanford Jr\u2019s interception at the Lancer 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Down 14 Thousand Oaks cut the lead to 14-7 traveling 67-yards on 13 plays with Spencer getting his first score on the night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rest of the first half belonged to the Bulldogs who put up 20 unanswered points on Beasley\u2019s second score on the ground and passes from Taylor to Idrique Charmichael and Sanford Jr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The third quarter was more of the same as Pasadena added 10 more unanswered points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It wasn\u2019t until 7:49 left in the game that the Lancers would get on the board again on a 16-yard run from none other than Spencer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pasadena\u2019s final score came with just 2:37 left to play when freshman Hype Grand (who came on in relief of Taylor) found Jamir Mitchell from 45-yards out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bulldogs will now travel south to face La Mirada in the second round of the Division VII playoffs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
