Joseph Gutierrez added the extra point for a 7-0 lead with 11:28 remaining in the first period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Covina came back with a score of their own when Jake Duronslet found Ronnie Ropke on a 41-yard catch and run. The two point conversion failed and the Colts trailed by one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"758\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/A0A1779-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-77045\" srcset=\"https:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/A0A1779-2.jpg 758w, https:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/A0A1779-2-222x300.jpg 222w, https:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/A0A1779-2-52x70.jpg 52w, https:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/A0A1779-2-111x150.jpg 111w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 758px) 100vw, 758px\" \/><figcaption>Angel Barraza with three scores against Covina.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Vikings pushed their advantage back to eight when Barraza got his second score on the night on a 3-yard run that capped an eight play, 82-yard drive. Gutierrez again added the extra point. Gutierrez finished the night hitting on all of his extra point attempts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just before the end of the first half Covina came back with another touchdown when Duronslet found Adrian Rachal from 10-yards out. Once again the two-point conversion failed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the teams were headed to the locker rooms the rain began to fall heavily and didn\u2019t stop the rest of the game!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Northview got the ball to start the second half and in sloppy conditions marched 57-yards on five plays with Tauvao getting his first on the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On their next offensive series the Vikings pushed their advantage to 28-12 on a Barraza&nbsp; 9-yard run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Early in the final frame Tauvao got his second score on a 9-yard run to finish off a 6-play, 65-yard drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The final score for the Vikings came with just 1:31 left to play on a one yard run by Erik Jimenez.
