Mercedes Sibrian came on to boot the extra point for the 7-0 lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlie it the second quarter El Rancho moved into Monsoon territory down to the 35. The Monsoon defense came up with a big stop when the Dons went for it on fourth and five. (Photo by Duane Barker). <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On El Rancho\u2019s next possession they found some traction moving deep into Mayfair territory. The drive stalled at the five yard line and Matteo Alvarado came on to boot a 22-yard field goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Monsoons only needed one play on the ensuing drive to get in the endzone again. Tomich found Leroy Palu over the middle and Palu did the rest, going 67-yards for the score.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Rancho came back to cut into the lead on their next possession. The Dons marched 65-yards on 14 plays with Ryan Vasquez finding Andrew Bojorquez in the back corner of the endzone as time was winding down in the second. Alvarado added the extra point and El Rancho trailed by 11 and that score would hold up for the remainder of the half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Dons cut the lead to five midway through the third quarter when Diaz scored on a 7-yard run that finished off another long 14-play drive.&nbsp; Diaz rushed for 71-yards and the two touchdowns and had another 73-yards on five catches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mayfair went back up by 12 early in the final frame when Tomich found brother Owen on a 32-yard sideline route that saw Owen out run the Don defenders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Monsoons only needed one play on their next scoring drive when Tomich got his fourth scoring pass on a 43-yard pass to Jaylen Baker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Rancho continued to fight and put together an 11-play, 62-yard drive with 3:07 left in the fourth. Diaz got his second touchdown on the night on a two yard run.
