(Photo by Duane Barker).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>By Tim Peterson <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(Glendora)- Azusa Pacific scored four runs in the fifth inning to break it open and cruised to a 9-3 win over visiting Holy Names to complete a sweep of a doubleheader Saturday.  <\/p>\n\n\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n\n\n<p>Leading 4-1 heading into the fifth, Spencer Rasmussen led off with a walk. With one out Omar Lopez was hit by a pitch and Will Stroud doubled to left to plate Rasmussen. Diego Frey then laid down a bunt to get another run home and after George Christison walked Carson Collett singled to drive in a run. Christison eventually scored on a wild pitch. (Photo by Duane Barker).  <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Holy Names got on the board first when Esai Santos walked, worked his way to third and scored on a bunt by Nico Capsaliaris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Azusa Pacific took the lead for good with three in the third inning. Tyus Santa Anna singled to score Christison who led off with a double. Jeffrey Castillo reached on a fielder&#8217;s choice and Rasmussen doubled. Casey O&#8217;Laughlin singled to drive in two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Castillo singled home Christison in the fourth to make it 4-1. The Cougs then put it away with the four-run fifth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Holy Names added a couple of runs in the seventh on a home run by Dominic Cervantes and an RBI double by Jesus Hernandez. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Cougars used four pitchers to get the job done. Joey Frey started and went one and two-thirds innings. Taylor Ouelette, Michael Gill and Alfredo Frey went the rest of the way. Steven Palermo went the last inning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Azusa Pacific had 10 hits to go along with the 9 runs. Holy Names had 3 runs and 8 hits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Cougars won the first game of the doubleheader 4-0 and are now 16-10 overall and in first place in the PacWest Conference at 9-3.
