The Wildcats need to get some games under their belt. With one game canceled and a bye last week, Monrovia has only played two games. This will be similar to the Covina game. Athletes (Monrovia) vs physicality (Northview). With a break here or there the Colts could have picked up the win. La Salle rebounded to beat Alhambra after a big loss to Bonita. The Colts will have too much for La Salle. Jake Duronslet, Joseph Rangel, Joaquin Barragan and company will have their way with the Lancers.

Covina 38 La Salle 17

Damien (4-0) at Charter Oak (1-3)

Damien is playing on a different level right now. The Spartans have had a challenging schedule and have been up to every task. Charter Oak’s schedule is no day at the beach either, but it’s been a struggle for the Chargers. They have lost three straight including a 48-27 loss last week to Yorba Linda. This will be another hurdle that Damien will clear. There has been a buzz around St. Paul since Mike Moschetti took over. Like the Bishop Amat game this one will come down to the wire. Last week the Rams pounded Mt. View 35-0 behind quarterback Jake Jones and receiver Judah Douglas. The Rams have scored 126 points in three games. The defense hasn’t been bad either as they have only allowed 29 points this season. Pasadena Poly comes in at 3-1 with its only loss coming in Week 1 against unbeaten Rio Hondo Prep.
