This is a game the Lancers will be prepared for. Great Oak has played a tough schedule as well and should keep it close. La Serna will gain momentum as well from the home crowd. Bonita is coming off of a win over Charter Oak while Northview fell to Diamond Ranch. Both teams have the weapons to score but expect a low scoring game with the defenses coming out to play. Bonita makes a big stop in the fourth quarter and comes out on top. A field goal could be the difference.

Bonita 20 Northview 17

DIV 7

Muir (5-3, Pacific #2) at Diamond Ranch (8-2, Valle Vista #2)

Good local matchup. Muir needs to find a way to defend Diamond Ranch receiver D’mariya Thomas who absolutely torched Northview last week. The Mustangs have the athletes to do it but they may need to double team him. Muir lost only to Burroughs in the Pacific and were just two yards away from a win. Muir has shut out its last three opponents. The Stangs should make enough stops to get it done. The Saints offense was clicking and the defense shut the Conquerors out. Everybody is healthy and San Dimas is “focused and playing unselfish football” according to head coach Mark Holman. Highland hails from the Golden League where the Bulldogs tied for first with a 6-1 record. San Dimas is on a roll right now having won three of its last four. If the Wildcats can make some stops the offense is explosive enough to carry them through. It’s been a concern all year. Monrovia gave up over 50 points three times this season and over 40 four times. The offense has had to bail the Wildcats out. Troy finished 6-4 overall and had a huge win over La Habra the first week of October. Monrovia battles until the end by Troy makes the stop that counts. Maranatha is coming off of a big win over Whittier Christian last week to win the League title. Running back Miles O’Malley is the real deal. Cantwell went 8-2 overall and took second in the Camino Real behind Salesian. Cantwell is good defensively and will need to be against the Minutemen. Cantwell will need to control the clock and keep Maranatha off the field. Bell Gardens did battle in the always competitive Almont League and the Lancers held their own.
