Garcia fired the ball deep over the middle but Ray Madrid III picked off the pass at the Spartan 42 to seal the victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>San Gorgonio struck first with 8:03 left to play in the opening period. Rashawn Holmes got loose on a 27-yard scamper to get the Spartans on the board. Hector Bustamante added the point after for the early 7-0 lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Dons responded with a score of their own on a 41-yard strike from Ryan Dominguez to Madrid. The extra point was missed and El Rancho trailed 7-6<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"850\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/A0A3909-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-87066\" srcset=\"https:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/A0A3909-1.jpg 850w, https:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/A0A3909-1-249x300.jpg 249w, https:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/A0A3909-1-58x70.jpg 58w, https:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/A0A3909-1-768x925.jpg 768w, https:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/A0A3909-1-125x150.jpg 125w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><figcaption>Ryan Dominguez tosses three touchdowns to help lead El Rancho to victory.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Spartans extended their lead to 14-6 on a four-yard pass from Jacob Russell to Blake Slayton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Rancho answered again with an eight play, 60-yard scoring drive with Dominguez finding Giovani Montenegro over the middle from 22-yards away. Dominguez and Montenegro also connected on the 2-point conversion to tie the game at 14 early in the second quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Dons took their first lead of the night on a 54-yard bomb from Dominguez to Andrew Guerrero. The pass was tipped by the defender but Guerrero maintained his concentration and hauled in the pass and was gone to paydirt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not to be outdone on long passes, the Spartans tied the game on their next drive as Russell found a streaking Sal Ramirez who got behind the Don defenders. 55-yards and an extra point later the game was knotted at 21.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neither team found much headway coming out of the locker room in the third quarter. El Rancho came close but a nice run from Navarro from the Spartan 21 was undone when Navarro coughed up the ball at the one.
