One thing is clear, the consensus as to the top receivers likely to go in the 1st Round according to NFL.Com, CBS.Com, Walter Football, and Pro Football Network\u2014in varying order\u2014are Tetairoa McMillan (Arizona), Luther Burden III (Missouri), Emeka Egbuka (Ohio State), and Matthew Golden (Texas).<\/p>\n

In at least half the mock drafts, the highest graded receiver that will still be available to the Rams at #26 is Emeka Egbuka.<\/p>\n

The 6-1\/205, senior is what I call the \u201cSafe Pick) for the Rams.<\/p>\n

He runs 4.42 and has really good footwork with tight routes, and changes direction quickly with his stutter steps.<\/p>\n

Film shows he excels in the Intermediate Routes, McVay’s bread and butter. That little Stafford dump pass, that terrified Rams Fans the last half of the season, shows up on Emeka’s game tape a lot.<\/p>\n

He uses those choppy steps to wander around his blockers and get extra yards and often breaks through.Egbuka keeps his hands low, and waits until the last second, to present that ‘diamond’ and receive the ball. Defensive Backs don\u2019t know the pass is coming until it\u2019s in his hands.<\/p>\n

A decent blocker, but he could use extra work on maintaining contact with the defensive player.<\/p>\n

Has 14 games against ranked teams, and has WR1 stats vs many Top Programs\u2014Notre Dame, Penn St, Georgia, Michigan, Michigan St, Wisconsin, etc.<\/p>\n
