(Los Alamitos) – The CIF Southern Section Releaguing Committee Appeals panel upheld the appeals of eight of thirteen 13 schools comprising four areas during their meeting at the CIF-SS offices today. <\/span><\/p>\n

The results of the appeals from each area school in the order they were heard and the recommendations from the committee (if any) are as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am extremely pleased with the thorough and professional job of the committee today,\u201d stated CIF-SS Commissioner of Athletics Dr. Jim Staunton. \u201cWe heard a lot of appeals today and I think the recommendations of the committee were done with great thought and detail for all areas concerned.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

The next step for schools not granted their appeal is to be heard at the CIF Southern Section Executive Committee Meeting on May 20th at the CIF-SS Offices. Final approval of all league configurations goes before the full council during its first meeting of the 2009-10 school year, October 22, 2009 at The Grand in Long Beach.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
