(Photo by Duane Barker).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>By Tim Peterson <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(<strong>Arcadia) &#8211; Christian Lopez threw a complete game two-hit shutout to lead Charter Oak to a 4-0 win over Arcadia Saturday at Giambrone Field to open the season <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n\n\n<p>Lopez was never threatened allowing only a single in the first inning and another one in the seventh. H sailed through the game retiring the side in order in the second, third and sixth innings. He also only faced three batters in the fourth inning. After walking Tyler Brereton, Julian Salmon banged into a double play. Mario Ortiz walked, advanced on a ground ball and scored on a base hit by Joseph Avitia. After a single by Frankie Robles, Avitia scored on a ground ball by Martin Luna III.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chargers added another run in the sixth when Luna waked and scored on a double by Jorge Aceves. Charter Oak made it 4-0 in the seventh when Avitia singled, advanced on a hit by Robles and cruised home on a ringing double to center by Luna. Luna drove in three of the four Charger runs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Damian Catano started and worked and five and one-third innings for the Apaches. He allowed three runs and four hits. (Photo by Duane Barker). <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Aiden Soto singled to open the bottom of the ninth for Arcadia, but Lopez retired the next three hitters to close it out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Arcadia is a great squad and I have a lot of respect for their program. Coach Lemas does a great job and he had them ready.
