Cantwell lineman Michael Coria sat down with Big George for a Q&A. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

[Montebello] – I sat down with Cantwell big man Michael Coria. Coria was a bright spot for the Cardinals last year dominating on the offense line. He\u2019s looking for a bounce back year for the team under new head coach Daniel Fierro.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n

Q: What\u2019s up kid, how\u2019s it going?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A: I\u2019m doing good Mr. Hernandez. I\u2019m just staying on the grind. I\u2019m excited to answer these questions.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: How are you feeling heading into the season with your new head coach?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A: I feel very confident under Coach Fierro’s scheme and leadership as well with his whole coaching staff. They have been developing our team to make us become the best we can be.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: What are some expectations you have for your team and yourself this upcoming season?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A:\u00a0My expectations are to make the playoffs and a have a run. For myself I want to make first team and win Offensive Linemen of the Year and bring home a championship.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: Who do you model your game after?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A: I model my game after Trent Williams. His aggression and passion for the game is something I look up to.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: How would your teammates and coaches describe you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A: They would describe me as leader in the weight room and on the field as well as a hard worker. I would say some of the linemen look up to me and learn from me.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: Every athlete has a routine. What does your game day look like from the moment you wake up until you step onto the field?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A: I wake up and do the usual – shower brush my teeth and get ready for school. The moment I get to school I\u2019m plugged in doing my work and I listen to music pretty much the whole day. I talk to my guys watch film and stay locked in. When I step on the field I know it\u2019s game time and I need completely focus and I know it\u2019s time to handle businesses and set the tone on the offense.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: What is the biggest lesson you have learned from football so far? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A: The biggest lesson I learned is the person that stops you the most is yourself. You have to believe in yourself to accomplish your achievement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: How do you handle the pressure of playing in high-stakes games?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A: I handle this by staying calm, watching the film and knowing my assignment, making sure the team knows their assignment. We have to be on the same page to execute.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: What game are you looking forward to the most?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A: I look forward to week two against Montebello. I only beat them once my freshman year and they have beat us twice in a row. Now I\u2019m a senior and I want to beat that team down the street from us. We play many teams from last year that I also want our revenge on but week two is the more personal one to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: Anything else you would like to say or want us to know?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
