Los Osos (0-2) at Charter Oak (1-0) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charter Oak struggled early but ultimately battled back to beat Upland 27-10 last week as Dutch Burbidge threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns. Los Osos is off to a rough start with losses to JW North and Citrus Valley. Charter Oak will be fine at home. The Chargers get the victory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

San Dimas (2-0) at Colony (0-2) <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This a tale of two teams headed in different directions. The Saints beat Glendora in the opener and then ran over Chaffey last week. Colony was shut out in the opener by Alta Loma before taking it on the chin last week in a 56-7 drubbing by Norco. The Titans need a victory here to get back on track. A win by San Dimas means the Saints would be off to an impressive 3-0 start. Colony will be playing with desperation and will be a tough out at home, but San Dimas has a little too much. Saints come out on top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friday September 4 <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

California (1-1) at Baldwin Park (1-1) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Baldwin Park looked like a completely different team last week. Quarterback Lequand “Jack Jack” Jackson was the difference maker and he tilts the field. The Braves have several other weapons as well like Jacory Coleman and Donovan St Cyr. Cal beat Sunny Hills after losing to Nogales in Week 0. Baldwin Park has too much firepower for Cal. Braves jump out early and never look back. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cantwell (1-1) at Nogales (1-1) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cantwell went toe to toe with La Salle two weeks ago in a 60-52 loss. Last week the Cardinals beat Montebello 38-31. The Cardinals can score having lit up the board for 98 points in two games. Defensively they’ll need to hold off Gatsbee Gumban and Nogales. Gumban has rushed for over 340 yards and five touchdowns in the first two games as the Nobles have racked up 95 points. The scoreboard operator will be busy. Cantwell will score but Nogales wins a shootout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Rancho (2-0) at West Covina (1-1) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Rancho is off to a good start. The Dons beat South Hills 30-22 in Week 0 in what many considered an upset and then followed it up with a 25-0 shutout of Santa Fe last week. Running back Braylon Morrison and Noah Garcia have been chewing up yardage. West Covina lost to a talented Victor Valley team in the opener but bounced back to beat Chino last week. Both teams will want to establish a running game early. The Dons have been able to do that in the first two weeks. Elias Irvin can sling it for the Bulldogs. It should come down to the wire with a late field goal being the difference. El Rancho gets it done. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Rancho 27 West Covina 24 <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whittier (2-0) at St. Paul (0-2) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first question about this game is how did it get scheduled? At first glance the feeling is that St. Paul would be a big favorite. If the game was listed in Vegas the bet would be whether or not the Swordsmen would cover. But now with Whittier outscoring its first two opponents 90-12 and St. Paul getting outscored 132-12 in its first two games it suddenly looks like a competitive contest. That being said opponents like Bishop Amat and Mission Viejo are hard to deal with. Whittier is not on that level. The Cardinals have shown life under first year head coach Lorenzo Hernandez and could keep it close. St. Paul, despite big losses to those two monsters, has talent and is still St. Paul. The Swordsmen come away with the victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arcadia (2-0) at La Salle (1-1) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interesting matchup. Arcadia appears to be back on track in 2026 with victories over El Monte and San Gabriel. La Salle, behind the heroics of Denzel Cater, beat Cantwell in a 60-52 shootout in Week 0 but fell short against San Marino last week. If Arcadia can contain Carter and get things going on offense with quarterback Freddy Bysshe and receiver Aiden Reyes they should come out on top. Arcadia holds on in the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Los Altos (2-0) at Schurr (0-2) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

While everything has been going right for Los Altos this season it’s been a rough road so far for Schurr. The Conquerors have scored 49 points in each of its first two games in big wins. They dismantled Diamond Ranch 49-0 in the opener. Schurr has played two solid opponents in Rio Hondo Prep and La Serna and came away with two lopsided defeats. Quarterback Luke Rodriguez and running back Nathaniel Sanchez have been huge for Los Altos. The Spartans will get their share of victories before this season is done but it won’t be this week. Los Altos improves to 3-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
