The Eagles led 6-0 after a missed extra point. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A bad snap on a punt gave the Eagles a short field and Mirano scored again &#8211; this time from nine yards out making it 13-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Monte quarterback Luis Gonzalez then went to the air and South\u2019s Riley Leon intercepted the pass and took it 50-yards to paydirt.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After another Lions punt Mirano scored his third touchdown of the first half making it 25-0 at half.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maldonado went back to the air again and hit Eligh Ybarra for a 22-yard touchdown. Mirano found the end zone for the fourth time early in the fourth quarter to start a running clock.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Monte struggled all game in the air and on the ground. Gonzalez went 10 of 35 for 113 yards and an interception. The Lions only had 22-yards rushing as a team.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maldonado was 6 for 9 for 116-yards with a touchdown and interception and he also ran for 79-yards. Mirano finished with 11 carries for 57 yards and four scores. Rodriguez had 52 yards receiving.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eagles travel to El Rancho next week while El Monte has a bye week before they face old foe Arroyo.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Anthony Mirano scored four touchdowns for South El Monte.
