Glendora’s Plutko Fires No hitter
By Corey Kwok (Glendora) – Adam Plutko fired a no hitter and Glendora got all the offense it needed in the first inning as the Tartans went on to beat Valencia 2-1 Friday to advance to the Division 2 semi finals.

By Corey Kowk (San Gabriel) – After a seven year tour of duty that raised a struggling program from baseball’s cellar into prominence, Joe Laski has stepped down as the varsity head coach at Gabrielino. The Eagles won their fourth straight Mission Valley League title in Laski’s final year.
Bonita Bounces into Semis
(La Verne) – Brian Tuttle belted a three run home run to highlight a 14 hit attack and lead Bonita to an 11-1 rout of Lancaster Friday in the quarterfinals of the CIF Division 3 playoffs.

Eagles fall in Eight, 3-2
By Corey Kwok (Menifee) – Gabrielino took a 2-1 lead in the fifth, but Heritage tied it in the sixth and then walked off with a 3-2 win in the eighth to oust the Eagles Tuesday in the second round of the Division 5 CIF playoffs.
