That what I heard as well the dude is coordinating all three phases of the game on his own. But this is what happens when you lose coaches too often no one worth anything is gonna work there.

I couldn’t agree more with you and with Friday knights kind of. The SEM staff is very light right now. so those parents/coaches who maybe weren’t the best Xs and Os coaches but probably helped out immensely in the other areas like team building and camaraderie. Also you don’t lose a coach like Mooney without knowing you need to replace decades of experience. If the assistants of 2016-2018 bailed where’s the next crop? Isn’t that the job of the HC to replace them? Does he Especially if saw the benefits of having those guys on staff. Does he even have a relationship with the Jets organization? Because There’s a few JAA coaches coaching at the Jets right now who would/could bring the same benefits those other coaches brought maybe even better.

Someone is obsessed with SEM & Gallardo. One thing I know for a fact is during the 2016, 17, & 18 seasons is a lot of the staff were coaches/parents of the players. They coached the players when they were JAA playing for the Jets & Rebels the last season before HS. Those coaches manage to convince the program to hire Mooney as the OC. Most if not all of that team graduated in 2018 & all the coaches/parents bailed. Let’s not forget 2020 & 21 had Covid lock downs & covid issues. This year is more of a normal season without restrictions. Today’s team could use some of the coaches/parents/siblings to be involved as staff. I think they can help the team a lot.
99% of these kids will never play again, whether it’s D1 or D13 all kids celebrate and enjoy it just as much as the other, might as well play as many games as possible. 1 and done in D2 is going to feel terrible for a team who goes 9-1 and had a tremendous regular season.
Easy question to answer. Frank wants to run every aspect of his team. You would think he would want to try something new,since his way isn’t getting the job done. But hey,he’s the head coach.

FBFan, I’ve been seeing this written quite a lot in one form or another here since the new playoff system started, and I simply don’t understand the rationale. I, for one, would much rather go ‘one-and-done’ in the highest division possible as opposed to winning what would otherwise be a shiny albeit meaningless trophy. Get in where you fit in, sure. But tanking to a lower-level for a little chest thumping, no. I’d much rather be the least in-shape guy at the iron man camp than the slimmest guy at fat camp.
How do you look your players in the eyes and say “we are going to tank a game”???

It’s time to ask the question, why does SEM go through so many assistant coaches!? Every year it’s all new faces. It’s no wonder they haven’t been able build off the early success of the regime. They change everything every single year. Part of running a program is to keep kids playing also to keep your coaches coaching for the familiarity and the relationships.

Looking at the roster SV is young like his first year at EM having the states leading rusher could attract some kids and I see their lower level is undefeated. I believe that schedule was there before Cinceros got there.
How about the Gab Eagles!!! Pulling of the upset. Nice win that throws a wrench in all kinds of plans.
Rosemeads offense just disappeared. Too much talent for that to happen especially to a defense that had been very giving all season.
El Monte is getting better and the right time. The game Vs Rosemead should be for second place.
Mountain View a season that started with a breath of hope has now turned in to the typical Vikes.
Arroyo lays the smack on SEM… again! SEM has way too much skill guys to get blanked and it’s happened a lot this season. Arroyo is the best team in league but there shouldn’t be a score of 43-0 between these two teams. Especially when SEM probably has the best or one of the best athletes in the league. It just shouldn’t happen. SEM has to win out just have a sniff.
Arroyo does it again. This was a sloppy game very physical and emotional. At several times during the game players had to be separated but Arroyo kept scoring and SEM couldn’t. The key was once again third down. Arroyos ability to keep drives going and SEMs inability to force punts. Arroyo looks primed to make a run and given their early struggles they probably get placed in a winnable division.

Yeah, please help me with this: how does Pioneer build a brand-new stadium, years before Cal high does, yet fail to attract players and perform so badly that they get thrown out of the Del Rio and into the 605 discard league? I’m struggling to figure how this constitutes any kind of rising.

BG has just enough dudes and I mean dudes for that level of football and all those former Amat coaches with Beltran who is a former LA Serna CIF champion coach and the results are what you see.
BG looked very good last night. # 7 brings them to a different level. He’s a tough runner, big and fast. Even without him they’re still pretty good. I wasn’t surprised with the overall toughness of the team. MHS was in the game but made some critical turnovers when it counted. My congrats to BG. It was very good game.
@RR: I guess it’s football but what goes on in peoples minds that still want to pound on some of the weakest teams in the country? If that gives you some inner satisfaction you need some help.
