Palmdale Gets its Kicks, 58-13

By Tim Peterson (Covina) – Palmdale recovered two kicks to open the third quarter and turned them into 14 points in 23 seconds and went on to rout Covina 58-13 Saturday night at Covina District Field. With the win Palmdale advanced to the CIF Division 10 Semi Finals.

La Serna Wins, Advances to Semi-Finals

By Duane Barker (Whittier) The La Serna Lancers needed a 34-yard touchdown pass from Jake Long to Jake George with :31 left to play to beat the Lawndale Cardinals 24-20 in the quarterfinals of the CIF Division IV playoffs Friday night at Sandy Sanchez Thorstenson Stadium on the campus of California High School.

Warriors Come Out to Play; Beat Kares

By Tim Peterson (Irwindale) – St. Pius/St. Matthias scored 20 seconds into the game to get started and late in the fourth quarter to finish and beat Rio Hondo Prep 34-20 Friday night at Kare Park in the CIF Division 7 Quarter Finals.

By Alex Gonzalez Norwalk: Mekhi Fox scored four touchdowns against the La Mirada Matadors Friday night at Excelsior high school, leading the Pasadena Bulldogs to a 41-31 win in the second round CIF-SS Division 7 playoffs.

Alhambra Grinds Out Quarterfinal Victory Over Hamilton

By Ron Vrooman (Anza) – The Alhambra Moors traveled 113 miles and found football gold on a mountaintop in Anza, where they defeated the Hamilton Bobcats, 21-6, in a CIF Division 14 quarterfinal game last Friday night.
