CV Routs Burroughs, 38-9

By Tom Hendrickson (Glendale)—The contest between Crescenta Valley and Burroughs is easy to sum up. The Falcons scored touchdowns and the Indians responded with field goals, and CV came away with a 38-9 victory on Friday night at Moyse Stadium in Glendale.

South El Monte Blanks El Monte, 19-0

Oilers Survive Battle With Spartans

(Montebello) The Montebello Oilers and the Schurr Spartans battled Friday night at Ken Davis Field on the campus of Schurr High School before a standing room only crowd. When the clock stuck zero, the Oilers were left on top of the scoreboard with a 14-7 win.
