Mid Valley Division Top Ten: 09/08/2015

With Paraclete and Rosemead both losing for the second time, things are getting interesting early in the Mid Valley Division. Again, it’s early so the shuffle will most likely continue after this weeks games.

San Dimas Mauls Maranatha

(San Dimas) Jarell Sykes and Noah Maldonado combine for 167 yards and five touchdowns in the San Dimas Saints 41-7 win over the Maranatha Minutemen in Mark Holman’s debut at the helm.

Fast Finish for Schurr

By Tim Peterson (Montebello) – Schurr blitzed El Monte with three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to break open a three point game and pummel the Lions 42-18 Thursday night at Montebello High.

Pomona drops after a less than eye opening performance against Oak Hills moving everyone up with the exception of Arroyo and Rosemead. Arroyo gets bumped in favor of San Dimas who open the season Friday. Its early to fluidity is the key word in the Mid Valley.

South Hills Grinds out Win in Opener

By Joseph Rodriguez (Pomona) –Diamond Ranch hosted the South Hills Huskies under first year head coach Jimmy Welker Friday night. In what turned out to be a defensive struggle, the Huskies opened their season with a win, 7-0.
